Bio:
William (or known to his co-workers by Bill or Billy) joined HFD#1 in 1993 as a volunteer firefighter, and was hired full time in 1997. Prior to becoming a firefighter, Bill worked full time for the City of Eureka Police Department as a Police/Fire Dispatcher.
Prior to his employment with the district, Bill's father served as a Fire Captain with HFD#1 for 33 years before retiring in 1997. As his father retired, Bill filled his father's employment slot in the department.
Currently, Bill is one of HFD's three fire investigators, and also serves on the Humboldt County Fire/Arson Investigation Unit.
He has also spent 8 years as an instructor at College of the Redwoods' Emergency Medical Technician one course.
